Skin boosters are injectables that improve skin texture, elasticity, hydration and overall appearance. Skin booster treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acid which is a soft, gel-like substance under the skin, which improves the skin’s elasticity, firmness and radiance giving an overall GLOW.
What are skin boosters?
Overall, skin boosters increase the levels of hydration in the skin and stimulate the production of collagen, improving fine lines and wrinkles, and producing firmer and younger-looking skin. Another key point of skin boosters is that they are particularly good at improving hydration and can be used to treat many different skin areas and skin types. The most common areas are the face followed by the neck, chest and hands. In contrast to fillers, Skin Boosters help improve collagen and elastin.
Here are seven KEY PROVEN benefits of Skin Boosters:
1. Hydrates and conditions.
2. Plumps dull dry skin.
3. Restores hydration.
4. Leaves skin glowing.
5. Improves complexion texture.
6. Improves the appearance of dry skin.
7. Helps to smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
Do skin boosters work?
In Short, YES! They work brilliantly to target dryness, roughness and fine lines and improve skin tone and texture. However, for best results skin boosters are best in sessions of 2 with yearly maintenance to ensure maximum results and hydration.
At Flux Skin we use Profhilo®
What is Profhilo®?
Designed to hydrate and plump the skin, Profhilo is a targeted injectable treatment which hydrates and volumises crepey, drooping skin, improving laxity and texture.
Profhilo features the highest level of hyaluronic acid (HA) on the market. HA is naturally occurring in the body and its job is to retain moisture and support collagen production. Over time, HA production slows, as does that of key proteins, collagen and elastin. This can leave the skin dry and dull, with ageing signs such as wrinkles beginning to appear. Profhilo works to stimulate the production of these proteins, which not only smooths and brightens the skin but also protects the complexion from future ageing signs. Suitable for all, this incredibly versatile product can be used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, dehydrated or crepey skin and a dull, tired appearance.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are substances designed to be injected beneath the surface of the skin to add volume and fullness. Largely used as an anti-ageing injectable treatment, they help to restore lost volume to the face and hands as well as accelerate the production of collagen in the skin where collagen and elastin production has begun to deplete due to the ageing process.
What’s the difference between Profhilo and fillers?
Both Profhilo and dermal fillers are injectable treatments that can be used to reduce the natural signs of ageing. Dermal filler is used to restore volume and lift for a more youthful, defined appearance. Whilst we use fillers to subtly ‘fill’ areas, the smooth structure of Profhilo means it can be used over an extended area of skin to provide a powerful hit of hydration. This works to improve texture and tone and achieve a youthful, plump and dewy glow.
How long does Profhilo last?
We recommend 2 sessions of Profhilo, 4 weeks apart. The results from Profhilo treatments will last for up to six months, but results can differ from person to person.
